摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the uniform air feed into cylinders, the acceleration of atomization of fuel, and the feedback control at the proper air-fuel ratio for the uniform combustion control in a multi-cylinder internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: This intake structure for an internal combustion engine is provided with at least one by-pass means within an ISC valve 3 controlling the engine speed at the target speed during the no-load operation and an adjuster screw 5 sucking a fixed quantity of air maintaining the prescribed engine speed from a path separate from the ISC valve 3, a throttle valve 4 adjusting the opening area of a main air passage 6 sucking air into the engine, and an injector 7 for feeding the fuel quantity corresponding to the load and engine speed to the engine on the downstream side of the throttle valve 4. An air feed port is located so that the air fed to the engine from the ISC valve 3 or the adjuster screw 5 is made nearly parallel with the stream of the main air passage 6 and an intake manifold 2 or it does not disturb the main air stream.
