PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate a pretensioner securely when a seat belt retractor is attached to a car body and make the pretensioner inoperable easily when the seat belt retractor is removed from the car body. SOLUTION: This safety device 11 sets a pretensioner 3 to an operable condition and an inoperable condition and forms a change-over part 12 which changes over and operates this safety device 11 and has a change-over shaft part 12a and a grip part 12b. The change-over shaft part 12a is provided with a hold tool support member 13 which can support a webbing guide 7 supported on a hold tool 20 on a seat belt retractor 1 when the pretensioner 3 cannot be operated. Here, the webbing guide 7 supported on the seat belt retractor 1 has a predetermined height at which it interferes with a center pillar trim 102 assembled in a car body. |
