<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new antibody capable of recognizing the sugar chain portion of human transferrin and useful for diagnosing diseases such as cancer and for the fundamental researches of other diseases, etc., due to the sugar chain recognition. SOLUTION: This new human transferrin-resistant antibody recognizes the sugar chain portion of human transferrin. Since recognizing the sugar portion of the human transferrin, the antibody can be used for diagnosing diseases such as cancer, and further can be contributed to the fundamental researches of other diseases. The monoclonal antibody is obtained by hypodermically or intraabdominally administering the human transferrin as an antigen together with an adjuvant into a mammalian such as a mouse, collecting lymphocytes from the immunized mammalian after the final immunization, fusing the lymphocytes to myeloma cells, culturing the hybridoma in a HAT culture medium, cloning the obtained antibody-producing strain, and subsequently culturing the cloned strain.</p> |
