<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assort waste plastic bottles, reduce their volumes and recover them. SOLUTION: At a waste plastic bottle accepting part A, foreign matters such as glass bottles, metal cans and the like are removed at a foreign matter detecting and removing part 4 from charged matters. At a charging direction detector 10, whether a waste plastic bottle 2 is charged to a direction determined for the next process or not, the presence and absence of the necke part of the bottle, of a label and the like are detected. The material of the bottle is detected by an assortment detector 11. The bottle, which is judged to be incongruent with the detectors 10 and 11, is removed outside a system. Through a conveying pipe 32, the waste plastic bottle is conveyed to a volume reducing part B. In the volume reducing part B, the neck part of the bottle 2 is cut off with a neck part cutter 14 and removed outside the system. Next, with a cutter 15, the bottle 2 is cut into flakes and housed in a box 16, which is evacuated so as to compress the flakes 22.</p> |
