PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily obtain high purity carbon monoxide with an excellent recovery ratio by providing a steam reforming process for mixing gas incorporating carbon dioxide and hydrogen with a hydrocarbon raw material, then adding steam and bringing the mixture into contact with a catalyst, a carbon monoxide adsorption/separation process, an unadsorbed gas circulation process, and a carbon monoxide desorption process. SOLUTION: The hydrocarbon raw material (a) is mixed with the gas (b) incorporating both carbon dioxide and hydrogen circulated from the unadsorbed gas circulation process 11 of a pressure swing type adsorption device 2 at the carbon dioxide (c) and carbon monoxide adsorption/separation process, then they are fed to a hydrodesulfurization device 4. A sulfur component in the hydrocarbon comes into contact with a hydrogenation catalyst to be converted into hydrogen sulfide, solidified and desulfurized as sulfide with a desulfurizer. The hydrocarbon raw material (e) after desulfurization is heat-exchanged with combustion discharge gas (n) at a heat exchanger 6, then is mixed with the steam (d) and the mixed gas (f) is further heated at a heating device 7 by a high concentration carbon monoxide gas-containing gas, fed to a steam reformer 1 to come into contact with a reforming catalyst at 400-500 deg.C under an ordinary pressure-10 kg/cmG to be reformed. |
