<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the slipping-out of a snap ring by deformation even with a large load by installing a snap ring for locking a member to be supported in the axial direction of a support member to a ring groove on the circumferential surface of the support member, and providing a pressing means for pressing it to the member to be supported in the groove bottom direction an regulating its radial return by elasticity. SOLUTION: A snap ring 3 is fitted to a ring groove 11 by contracting its diameter, and brought into contact with a spring retainer 2 by extending the diameter to bring the inside surface into contact with projections 21, whereby its inside directional return is regulated. The ring 3 is constrained by the projections 21 in 8 inner circumferential positions, pressed to the bottom part of the groove 11, and positioned. When a piston 4 is pushed forward by a hydraulic pressure, a maximum compression load is added to a spring 5, a maximum reaction is also worked on the retainer 2, and this is transmitted to the ring 3 to support it by a center support through the front wall of the groove 11. Although a conical spring-like deformation of pushing the bore side forward is caused in the ring 3 by the compression load, its deformation is prevented by the projections 21 to prevent the slipping-out of the ring 3 from the groove 11.</p> |
