PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sustain low temperature at the parts of a print control board and a transit control board while sustaining high temperature at a recording head part through a simple and compact structure. SOLUTION: A transit control board 48 and a print control board 49 are mounted, while being protected by a stage cover 51, on a board stage 47 made of a thermal insulating material secured to a supporting rib 17a projecting from the upper surface of a cover panel 17 at a recording head part 11 provided with a heating means carried on a carriage 12 made of a thermal insulating material. The stage cover 51 is provided with a large number of holes 53b, 53a for passing cooling air in the side plate and the upper plate in the moving direction of the carriage 12. Cooling air enters into the stage cover 51 through the holes 53b in the side plate side as the carriage 12 moves and leaves through the holes 53a in the upper plate while depriving heat from the surface of the transit control board 48 and the print control board 49. Consequently, the control boards 48, 49 can be cooled efficiently without requiring any cooling fan. |
