The magnet (13) is associated with a bimetallic strip (26), an armature (25) and a moving contact (38) on a board (11). The moving contact co-operates with two fixed contacts on the housing and is connected to a conductor (31). A plastic-bonded rectangular permanent magnet (12) forms North- and South-seeking poles on the faces (21,22) of the armature. Cooling of the surroundings reduces the curvature of the bimetallic strip so that the armature moves further into the sphere of influence of the permanent magnet until it is abruptly attracted to it. This results in a changeover of contacts which persists until the room is warmed up again.
|
