PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide bacteriostocks producing a 1,5-anhydroglucitol dehydrogenase specifically acting on 1,5-anhydroglucitol, and to provide a method for proliferating the bacteriostocks in large amounts, enabling to efficiently culture the bacteriostocks at a low cost and efficiently obtain the 1,5- anhydroglucitol dehydrogenase from the cells of the bacteriostocks. SOLUTION: Rahnella aquatitlis 474 (FERM P-16158), Enterobacter cloacae 340 (FERM P-16157) and Serratia marcescens 825 (FERM P-16159) produce a 1,5-anhydroglucitol dehydrogenase specifically acting on 1,5-anhydroglucitol. The method for proliferating the bacteriostocks in large amounts comprises culturing the bacteriostocks in a culture medium containing peptone in an amount of 1-10 wt.%. |
