PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To collect ink discharged during the non-printing and to facilitate the handling of the ink. SOLUTION: In this printer, a waste ink cassette 70 having a cassette body 71, an absorbing body 72 housed in the cassette body 71 and a check valve 771 is detachably attached to a waste ink tube 58 at the side of a print head. Ink discharged from the print head through an ink discharge means (a waste ink tube 58) during the non-printing is absorbed by the absorbing body 72 to be in an airtight condition, then it is collected. |
