PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition hardly containing an antifibrinolytic compound, an animal protein and a contagium such as virus and useful for hemostasis from serum accumulated and stored. SOLUTION: The objective composition is obtained by providing a cryoprecipitant plasma specimen from human plasma or a plasma fragment, separating the cryoprecipitate therefrom, dissolving the cryoprecipitate in a medium, cooling the medium dissolving the cryoprecipitate to provide the cryoprecipitate containing extremely small amount of antihemophilic globulin, adding the liquid with the precipitate in a floating state to a medium containing calcium phosphate, treating the supernatant thereof with an affinity chromatography to gather the fraction containing no plasminogen, bringing the gathered fraction into contact with an effective amount of an antivirus agent to deactivate virus, and removing the deactivated virus therefrom. The composition has characteristics of containing about 75% human fibrinogen, and not containing a protein coded by a non-human DNA, a thrombin and a fibrinolytic inhibitor.
