HEAT-CONDUCTIVE ADHESIVE TAPE AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a heat-conductive adhesive tape having improved heat conductivity and adhesive fixability by alternatingly arranging a plurality of heat-conductive strips and a plurality of adhesive strips on at least either surface of a support. SOLUTION: A plurality of heat-conductive strips 2 prepared by applying a heat-conductive paste obtained by mixing a heat-conductive powder with a solvent solution of a resin so that each strip 2 may have a width a of 0.5-2 mm and a plurality of pressure-sensitive adhesive strips 3 prepared by applying a pressure-sensitive adhesive solution and having a width b of 0.5-5 mm are alternatingly arranged on at least one surface of a 10-1,000μm thick support 1 made from an electrically or thermally conductive support such as a metal foil or a metallized plastic or an insulation support such as a plastic film or a nonwoven plastic cloth at a pitch p of 1-7 mm to obtain a thermally conductive adhesive tape. This tape can be used as a lead conductor when a circuit is connected to a temperature sensor in series through a lead conductor. When abnormally generated heat is transferred from the circuit to the sensor, the passage of current is shut down by the switch-off of the sensor.
