PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator having improved cooling efficiency by constructing the refrigerator such that it has an effectual structure for heat exchange between an evaporator and surrounding air. SOLUTION: A refrigerator includes a cabinet including a refrigeration chamber, a freezing chamber 120, and a cooling chamber formed rearward the freezing chamber 120, an evaporator 310 disposed in the cooling chamber for producing cold air and forming a conical space therein as a spiral configuration, an air fan 320 disposed coaxially behind the evaporator 310 for sending air to the evaporator 310 and a heater 330 disposed in the conical space of the evaporator 310 for removing frost deposited on the evaporator 310. As a result, the refrigerator effectually achieves heat exchange between the evaporator and peripheral air to improve cooling efficiency. Since the cold air enters the cooling chamber forming a turbulent flow, the cooling chamber is more uniformly cooled, and since the heater is disposed coaxially in the evaporator, heat is uniformly transmitted to the evaporator. Thus, defrosting effect is also improved. |
