The invention relates to a sealing system (1) for a coke furnace door which is made especially flexible or which is given an especially long spring travel by the fact that the membrane plate (4) consists of a spring-elastic cantilever arm (8) which projects from the door body (3) and is preferably curved and a sealing element (5) connected to said arm. The free end (9) of the cantilever arm (8) has a loop-shaped extension (10) which partly overlaps the sealing element (5) and provides an advantageous pressure. Both the loop-shaped extension (10) and the sealing element (5) can be wavy in form. |
