PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve voice quality and to improve installation and use by providing a housing chamber for leaving a portable telephone inside the main body of sound system in a motor vehicle, providing a signal terminal inside this housing chamber and achieving an electric connection by coupling the signal terminal to the signal jack of the portable telephone when the portable telephone is inserted. SOLUTION: A sound system 4 in an automobile and hands free communication equipment are integrally constituted. A main body 4 of the sound system is formed so as to be housed at a sound system installation section in the car. The main body 4 of the sound system has one housing chamber 44 inside in addition to a control key 41, a cassette tape or an CD player 42 and control panel 43. This housing chamber 44 becomes a space for freely attachably and detachably housing a portable telephone 2. On the bottom of the housing chamber 44, a portable telephone signal terminal 45 is provided continuously in contact with an internal electric circuit module, and this portable telephone signal terminal 45 becomes the supply source of various signals required for the hands free communication equipment by mutually fitting with a signal jack 21 of the portable telephone 2. |
