PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method by which a stable copying image having high image quality for a long period is obtainable. SOLUTION: This image forming method uses at least a brush roller in a stage for removing the toners remaining on an org. photoreceptor provided with a photosensitive layer contg. at least oxytitanyl phthalocyanine on a conductive base after transferring the toner image formed on the photoreceptor to a recording material. The ten point average surface roughness Rz of the conductive base described above is 0.4 to 2.5μm and the oxytitanyl phthalocyanine has the max. peak at 27.2 deg.±0.2 deg. of a Bragg angle 20 for the Cu-Kαline.
