PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which stepwise gives information on an amount of remaining toner, therefore, is user-friendly, and improves image quality. SOLUTION: In a control part composed of a printer controller 11 and a printer control circuit 1, a remaining-toner quantitative detection means 86 is provided for receiving a detection signal indicating an amount of remaining toner which has been transmitted from a toner detector 90, and an informing means 85 is also provided for giving stepwise the detection information of the remaining-toner quantitative detection means 86. The remaining-toner quantitative detection means 86 is provided with thresholds, and also remaining-toner quantitative detection levels matching the thresholds. Also, stepwise toner-empty- warning levels matching the remaining-toner quantitative detection levels are provided, information on the toner-empty warning level corresponding to the detection level of the detected amount of remaining toner is given to the printer controller 11, and thus the user can know the amount of remaining toner. |
