PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately monitor a hybrid control system based on the energy balance of the system. SOLUTION: A hybrid car is provided with an engine 1, a power-transmitting means 12 incorporating first and second rotary electric machines 2000 and 3000, an inverter device 14 which drives the machines 2000 and 3000, an electricity storing device 15, an engine controller 13 which controls the fuel injection into the engine 1, and a hybrid controller 16 which commands a torque control amount to the controller 13. At the same time, the car controls the drive of the inverter device 14. The controller 16 compares the power stored in the storing device 15 with the power balances of the machines 2000 and 3000 and computes the power balance of the entire system (the energy balance of a hybrid control system) from the compared results. Then the controller 16 discriminates the presence/absence of abnormalities in the system, based on the calculated power balance of the entire system and controls the output of the hybrid car, in accordance with the discriminated results. |
