<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power controller capable a preventing an information processor from being destructed in hardwear even when a user unexpectedly inserts an extension board to an extension slot when an information processor is in a sleep state in the information processor provided with the extension slot incapable of live-line insertion/pulling-out. SOLUTION: The information processor 8 includes the extension sot part 10 incapable of live-line insertion/pulling-out and is provided with a mainbody part power source means 4 for supplying prescribed power to the prescribed part of the information processor, a power control means 5 for controlling the mainbody part power source means 4, an arithmetic control means 1 for controlling the power source control means 5 and an insertion/pulling-out operation predicting means 3 for detecting a state where the inserting/pulling-out operation of the extension board is about to be executed in the extension slot part 10. The power source control means 5 is constituted so as to be controlled by the output of the insertion/pulling-out operation predicting means 3.</p> |
