摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a parallax error caused by thickness of a substrate when liquid crystal layer is multiplied, and to provide a high definition and high picture quality liquid crystal device by making an outermost array substrate or a counter substrate thicker than a middle array substrate or a counter substrate. SOLUTION: Non-linear elements and pixel electrodes 9 like TFT 8, etc., are formed in a matrix form on a glass or plastic substrate 6. A glass or plastic substrate 7 faced to the substrate 6 is bonded. A transparent conductive film 10 such as ITO, etc., is formed on the counter substrate 7. A liquid crystal layer 11 is filled in and a filling port is sealed. Both surfaces are polished to reduce the thickness of the substrates 6, 7. Counter electrodes 14, 15 are formed of ITO on both surfaces of the cell. Array substrates 1, 12 are assembled to hold an intermediate cell. The array substrates 1, 12 are provided with TFT 2, 13, and pixel electrodes 3, 14. After that, liquid layers 5, 16 are filled in.</p>
