<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a jammed paper, and to facilitate the maintenance work by installing a paper fixing and discharging unit movable in a transverse direction between the closed position and the opened position, and locking the unit to a device body when the unit is in the closed position. SOLUTION: To move a paper fixing and discharging unit 7 to the opened position, an operation lever 33 is operated, a notch 32 is detached from a lock pin 29, and a moving rail 30 is drawn in a fixed rail 27, and moved to the opened position. A press roller 9 is moved on the surface of a lever member 37, and because its surface is inclined downwardly in the direction from the opened position to the closed position, the press roller 9 is gradually separated from a fixing roller 8. A large space can be secured between the device body 1 and the paper fixing and discharging unit 7. When the paper fixing and discharging unit 7 is increase into the device body 1, a locking claw 28 is automatically returned to the closed position by the turning force of a spring when the lock pin 29 is opposite to the notch 32.</p> |
