PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect abnormality of high voltage output and at the same time clearly inform the abnormal point in a recording apparatus provided with a high voltage output circuit. SOLUTION: A high voltage control signal from a control circuit 2 is compared with an A/D (analog/digital) conversion signal obtained by digital conversion of a signal detected by a high voltage output detection circuit 4 by an A/D conversion circuit 5 by a comparison circuit 6, if abnormality is found in the high voltage output, an error message or the information of the abnormal point is displayed on a liquid crystal operation panel displaying apparatus 391, and a signal to turn off the high voltage output is transmitted to a D/A conversion circuit 3 and at the same time copying operation is immediately stopped by the control circuit 2. |
