PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To validly use a frame memory, and to operate a mapping processing at a high speed. SOLUTION: The X and Y address information of a polygon, mapping pattern address, and Z value are calculated by DDA processors 43, 44, and 45 based on each geometrically converted endpoint information, and a hidden-surface processing is operated by a hidden-surface processor 47 based on the calculated Z value, a plotting processing and a hidden-surface processing is operated to all polygons, and only the mapping pattern addresses U and V of dots to be plotted are written in a frame memory. Access is performed to a mapping pattern area with the mapping pattern addresses written in this frame memory, and R, G, B values are read, and the R, G, B values are written in the area of the same frame memory in which the mapping pattern addresses are written. |
