PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a light transmission plate preventing the occurrence of moire even in the case of a dot matrix display in an illuminator arranged in front of a display device. SOLUTION: Fig (A) shows a display dot matrix as a floor plan of a display element. A dot pitch 41 is 240μm, and a dot size 42 is 30μm. Of course, the line directions 43 and 44 of the dots coincide with the directions 45 or 46 of the end sides. Fig (B) shows the situation of the projections 32 of the light transmission plate of the illuminator. The line directions 34 and 35 of the projections 32 do not coincide with the directions 36 or 37 of the end sides, but shift from them. By such a manner, the moire is reduced.
