<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the liquid crystal orientation processing agent for ensuring uniform and stable liquid crystal orientation by incorporating a polymer compounds having photoreactive groups in the main chain of the polymer and a glass transition point. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal orientation processing agent contains the polymer compound having the photoreactive groups on the main chain and a glass transition point of >=200 deg.C, and the preferable polymer to be used is a polyamide or polyimide or a polyamide, polyimide, polyamide-polyimide, or the like. The preferable photoreactive groups to be used have unit structures represented by formulae I-IV in which each of R<1> -R<6> is, independently, a 1-4C alkyl, 2-4C alkenyl or alkynyl, 1-4C alkoxy, or trifluoromethyl group or an F atom.</p> |
