PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-tight joining method of pipe members and containers, an air-conditioner and a battery to realize an air-tight part-to-part sealing without using a seal member and the heat, by using a simple calking jig. SOLUTION: In this air-tight joining method, the opening of the first pipe member 1 or a container having a specific section form, and the opening of the second pipe member 2 or a container which has a similar form of cross section as the opening of the first pipe member 1 or the container, and has the inner peripheral size larger than the outer peripheral size of the opening of the first pipe member 1 or the container; are inserted relatively. A circular member 3 or a pressing-in member is pressed in to the outer form part in the opening of the second pipe member 2 or the container so as to contract the outer peripheral size of the opening of the second pipe member 2 or the container, and the outer periphery of the opening of the first pipe member 1 or the container, and the inner periphery of the opening of the second pipe member 2 or the container, are contacted closely, and joined together. |
