Hinge assembly for vehicle seat

The hinge assembly (5) uses a rigid interface plate (6). It has a first hinge (7) with a first rigid sideplate that is attached to the seat back (4) and pivots about a first axis (X1). A second hinge (8) has a second rigid sideplate attached to the seat base (5) and pivots about a second axis (X2). Opposite the first sideplate a first housing is formed by the interface plate, and opposite the second sideplate a second housing is formed by the interface plate. The interface plate is axially attached to the two sideplates to close the two housings.
