PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document updation notifying device which easily and also appropriately notifies to a client that information which exists on a server is updated. SOLUTION: A document providing mediation server 100 is intervened between WWW servers 104 and WWW browsers 102. When A controller 110 of the server 100 responds to a document request of either of the browsers 102 and document that is offered from the server 104 is updated, or when document that is offered from the server 104 is updated in response to a document request which is automatically generated in a document request periodic generator 111 when a document request from the browser 102 does not occur beyond a previously determined period, an electronic mail which is sent through a mail sending device 108 notifies the effect to the browser 102 that is registered on a document updation communication management database 107. |
