PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technique for realizing flexible extension in terms of a stage in accordance with a system scale and, besides, the improvement of highly reliable configuration corresponding to a system request and of operation property including maintenance. SOLUTION: A rack mounting-type computer system is the one where a system is constructed with a central processing part 100, an input/output control part 110 and an input/output equipment group 120 as different rack units and is provided with the center processing part 100 having a central processor 110 and input/output connecting adapters 108 and 109 for connecting a main storage device to an input/output control part 110, the input/output control part 110 having the central processing part 100 and input/output adapters 111-113 for connecting the central processing part 100 to the input/output equipment group and an interface cable having a synchronization clock loop in a cable for connecting the input/output connecting adapters 108 and 109 to the input/output adapters 111-113.
