<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discharge air leaking from a reservoir into oil in a rod side oil chamber to the reservoir, and to maintain a damping force characteristic well over a long period. SOLUTION: In the halfway of an oil passage 22 connecting between a reservoir A and a rod side oil chamber B, a pressure governing valve 23 is provided. In accordance with extending/contracting of a piston rod 8, when oil in the rod side oil chamber B flows in a communication path 26 through the pressure governing valve 23 into the reservoir A, damping force corresponding to an opening valve pressure of the pressure governing valve 23 is generated. By providing integrally an annular plate 24 in an end face of a rod guide 21, between the annular plate 24 and an inner cylinder 6, the communication path 26 communicating with the oil passage 22 is formed. When the piston rod 8 is extended/contracted, air mixed in pressure oil in the rod side oil chamber B, while guided to a side of the oil passage 22 by the communication path 26 or the like, is discharged into the reservoir A.</p> |
