PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately perform decision of foot release up-shift operation and automatic up-shift operation of a continuously variable transmission, accurately realize a respectively corresponding shift response. SOLUTION: A throttle opening TVO is decreased between t1 to t2 , at foot release up-shift speed change time maintaining this decrease condition, in a condition with time change ratioΔNpri of target primary rotational speed Npri less than a preset value KD, or in a condition with a target speed change ratio deviation ei P=iPO-iPT between final target shift ratio iPO and transient target shift ratio iPT in a preset value or less, foot release up-shift operation is discriminated. Accordingly in t2 to t3 maintaining the throttle opening TVO in the decrease condition, erroneous decision of automatic up-shift operation is prevented, as clear from a time series change as shown by a broken line of transient target shift ratio iPT, a dynamic characteristic of shift control can be controlled in a gentle manner as required in a foot release up-shift operation speed change. |
