PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture plotting processor and a picture processing method by which a display picture can be prevented from being excessively blurred by fixing an interpolation range, or enlarging the interpolation range at a smaller ratio than the enlargement ratio of a texture cell to a pixel. SOLUTION: A CPU 1 decides a display position on a display picture for an object including a texture. A texture computing element 3 calculates the coordinates of pixels on the actual display picture corresponding to each texture cell by calculation. A texture interpolator 5 extracts the data of texture from a texture memory 4 based on the coordinates, and decides the value of each pixel in the actual display picture based on the data. The texture interpolator 5 decides an interpolation range by using a box filter, and the size of the box filter is fixed to the same size as a pixel size constituting the display picture so that any excessive blur on the display picture can not be generated. |
