PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To intuitively and also quickly recognize the feature of an object shape and the quality of a point group by visualizing a pseudo normal line of each point of a triangular network and an angle value corresponding to a prescribed angle. SOLUTION: A three-dimensional measuring instrument 11 measures a spatial shape to a model having a prescribed shape according to a command that is externally supplied, creates prescribed point group data corresponding to the shape and supplies it to a free curved surface creating device 12. The device 12 forms a triangular network of measurement point group of a prescribed object and operates a pseudo normal line of each point of the triangular network. And it operates an angle value that corresponds to an angle of the pseudo normal line and a prescribed direction and visualizes the angle value. In such cases, the device 12 creates a free curved surface that corresponds to a prescribed shape and a modified free curved surface in a virtual space based on the point group data inputted by the instrument 11 according to an instruction inputted through an input device 13 by a user and shows them on a display 14.
