摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain real transmission gear ratio just after mode switching as one of shift stages not to provide a sense of incompatibility for operation, by setting shift stages using real transmission gear ratio at the time when control is transferred from automatic shift to manual shift following shift mode switching as a target transmission gear ratio. SOLUTION: An automatic shift controlling means A which sets a target transmission gear ratio of a continuously variable transmission according to vehicle operation condition such as engine load and car speed is provided. A manual shift controlling means C which sets the target transmission gear ratio of the continuously variable transmission based on a signal from a manual shift commanding means B which is operated by a driver are provided. These automatic shift controlling means A and manual shift controlling means C can be selectively switched due to driver's operation of a shift mode switching means D. Then, when control is transferred from the automatic shift controlling means A to the manual shift controlling means C, in the manual shift controlling means C, the present real transmission gear ratio is set as a target transmission gear ratio, and target transmission gear ratio of adjacent shift stages is determined on the basis of the transmission gear ratio just after the switching.
