<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video reproducing device by which the special reproduction that adopts a decoder system of a standard interface and the processing efficiency of a video server are taken into account. SOLUTION: This video reproduction device 1 receives video information from a video server 7 at its control section 2 via a communication section 3, connecting to a communication network and writes the information to a virtual file section 4. A reproduction control section 5 started by the control section 2 reads the video information from the virtual file section 4, to supply the information to a decoder 6. Thus, the information from the video server 7 is once received by the control section 2 to allow the control section 2 to acquire position information added to the video information for managing the reproduction state and additional information not within the standard video form to be deleted, and the reproduction stop is avoided. Thus, even in the case of adopting the decoder system of the standard interface consisting of the reproduction control section 5 and the decoder 6, abundant special reproduction functions which take the processing efficiency of the video server into account are realized.</p> |
