<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system that sets up a control link with an exchange station, without pre-assigning a representative virtual path identifier VPI, a representative virtual channel identifier VCI, a specific VPI and a specific VCI to a radio base station. SOLUTION: A VPI/VCI comparison collation section 21 of a radio base station is provided with a mask-setting section 23, which invalidates a comparison result and sets a mask enable state in the system rising. In this state, when an asynchronous transfer mode ATM cell is received, the ATM cell is received independently of the comparison result by the VPI/VCI comparison collation section. An inter-station control signal processing section 22 stores the VPI/VCI included in a received ATM cell to an outgoing cell header information storage section 24 and recognizes it to be a specified VPI/VCI provided to itself and sets it to the VPI/VCI comparison collation section. At the sometime, the inter- station control signal processing section turns the mask into a mask-inhibiting state.</p> |
