PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate inspection of an outdoor unit by manufacturing a frame of a lightweight aluminum extrusion, incorporating a metal mesh removably and providing an opening/closing protective fence thereby facilitating handling and fixing and opening the fence through rotary motion. SOLUTION: The protective fence for outdoor unit is disposed in a space A where an outdoor unit B is disposed while covering the outdoor unit B. The protective fence is combined with upper/lower frames 10, 20 and left/right frames 30, 40 to have a rectangular area corresponding to that of the front face of the outdoor unit B. In case of a large area protective fence, a reinforcing frame 50 may be stretched across the intermediate part between the upper and lower frames 10, 20, as required. Each frame 10-50 is made of a lightweight, corrosion-resistant hollow aluminum extrusion excellent in strength. A mesh body is fixed in the inner space defined by respective frames 10-50. The mesh body can be represented by a mesh body 60. |
