Diagnostic apparatus

The apparatus has a pick-up or recordal device (1-3) to generate analog video signals. It also has a monitor (6) for playing back the video signals. A digital memory device (8) is connected to the recording device. The recording device is connected to a control device (12) which works on the basis of an event to store an image. The recording device is preferably an endoscopic remote camera. A work station is connected to the digital memory device. The digital memory device has an analog to digital convertor connected to the control device. Preferably the endoscopic camera has an endoscopic objective lens (3) attached to a glass fibre tube (2). A position generator is attached near the lens. The position generator is connected to a control circuit which causes the position generator to move when an image is stored.
