<p>Sludge treatment apparatus comprises a unit with superposed endless belts (1) for conveying sludge (F), located between facing surfaces of the belts, from a sludge feed station (P) to a treated sludge discharge station (U). The belts converge at one or more compression and disintegration sections (C) where disintegration occurs due to the relative speeds of the belts (1).
