<p>The invention concerns a compact cyclotron comprising, in standard fashion, a source of ions (1), a confinement device under vacuum, an electromagnet, a high-frequency accelerator system (3) and an extractor system (41, 42). The invention is characterised in that the ion source is a source with cyclotronic resonance (ECR), using the cyclotron magnetic field itself, placed in the centre of the confinement device, the electromagnet poles being enclosed with coils using supraconductive materials with supraconductive properties at a temperature ranging between 20 K and 40 K.</p> |
