<p>A vehicle includes a pneumatic tire (100) mounted on a support member (102). The tire (100) has a centerline which defines a first tipline of the vehicle. A ring (106), having a diameter that is smaller than the diameter of the tire (100), is attached to the support member (102). The ring (106) includes a contact surface (110) that defines a second tipline of the vehicle. When the tire (100) is loaded and deflects such that the ring (106) engages an inner surface of the tire (100), the tipline of the vehicle is moved from the first tipline to the second tipline to improve lateral stability of the vehicle.</p> |
