Earthing contact protection socket

The protection socket includes a front cover plate (12) and a socket box with a socket formed on the box floor (17) to receive the pins of a plug. An insert (20) is arranged in the socket box, which blocks access to the socket. The insert is provided with a releasable blocking device (22), which secures the insert in the socket box. The insert is preferably flush with the front cover plate and adapted to the profile of the inner wall of the socket box. The blocking device may be operated by a suitable tool, especially a key.
