Machining line using autonomous machining station modules

The machining line has a number of autonomous machining station modules (1-4), provided by base modules (7-10) combined with different process modules in dependence on the required machining function. Each base module has a transport device (11) for feeding the workpieces to the next base module and a second transport device (12) with an opposing transport direction. The control interfaces of the base modules and the process modules are coupled together via plug-in connections.
