摘要 In a method for directing polymer melt in an injection nozzle (10) feeding an injection mould a single melt stream is divided into several streams passing through the nozzle body (14) to a collecting chamber (29) at the front of the nozzle. The individual streams are turbulently recombined at a central area (38) of the collecting chamber (29) after following an inward spiralling path. The injection nozzle (10) has a conical projection (31) with an outer surface (30) forming a collecting chamber (29) with the inner conical surface (32) of the front part of the nozzle housing (11). Individual flow channels (26) through the nozzle body (14) enter the rear of the collecting chamber at inlets (28). Guiding surfaces (34, 35) from the inlets (28) form a spiral flow path to a central area (38) of the collecting chamber (29). A nozzle opening (23) to the tool cavity (F) forms a seating surface for a shut off needle (19).
