A coil for a transformer, a choke coil, and the like, having a simple structure, a small iron loss, and an inductance which little decreases with current. The coil comprises at least one rod-like core (5) longer than the inside diameter of an annular core (2) made of an amorphous metal or a microcrystalline metal and superposed fixedly on the surface of the annular core (2) and a conductive material (6) wound around the rod-like core (5). More specifically, the coil comprises at least one rod-like core (3) longer than the inside diameter of the annular core (2) and inserted fixedly between two annular core surfaces (2, 2) and a conductive material (6) wound around the rod-like core (3). The coil can be manufactured extremely easily as compared with conventional coils, e.g. a troidal coil, where a copper wire is wound around an annular core. Since the iron loss is reduced as compared with a conventional coil employing a cut core and a conventional troidal coil, energy can be saved, and the inductance little decreases with increase of current. It can be widely used for, e.g., transformers and choke coils.
|
