The front-mounted air distribution unit (2) has outlet ducts (101) for facial ventilation and ducts (102) for foot level ventilation as well as outlet ports (19) for individual ducts (4) for the seat ventilation. The seat ducts each have a distribution flap (10) inside the distribution unit to control the ratio of hot and cold air i.e. to set the level of ventilation. Each seat is connected to its duct and has a distribution network of air ducts over the seat and seat back. The individual seat ducts also serve to supply conditioned air to foot-level grilles (30) in front of the rear seat.
