The shelving has at least one upright (1) with at least one groove (2) extending across it, to receive the end of a shelf which is laterally supported. In the area of the lower groove wall is an elastic cylindrical support (9) for the lower face or the shelf. The lower groove wall has an angled surface (6) formed at least partially in the direction of the groove opening (5). The cylindrical support is rollably mounted on this angled face. The angled surface can be formed in the lower wall of the groove adjacent to, or spaced from, the rear groove wall (7).
