Machine for preventing air leaks from subsea tunnel workings

The machine (1) for securing the sea bed against uncontrolled leakage of air pressure during driving a tunnel (2) using pneumatic pressure uses a cover (5) for covering and loading of the bed surrounding area. The load cover has a filter which is permeable to air and water through flow. At least one float (7) is connected to the cover to raise and lower it by flooding or blowing it. There can be a concrete slab forming the cover. The cover can alternatively be flexible or it can be a cushion with a filling.
