The system includes a customer chip card (1), on which data, especially customer data are stored. A processing unit (2), stores data, especially customer and article data. Whilst a read/write device (3), for the customer chip card, exchanges data between the processing unit and the card. The read/write device may be freely activated, or through insertion of the customer chip card.
