The lock has, adjacent to the pressure foot (30), a central adjusting lever (51) rotatably mounted to the inner end of the presser (10). the adjusting lever allows connection or release of the core sections (11) of the presser in dependence on the rotational positions provided by the movement of the key. The lever (51) is movable by a drive (54) between two pivot positions (56,57). It has a secure position (56) where the lock assembly is not positionable over indexing stops and a release position where the indexing stops are adjustable.
